Card games for kids are a great indoor winter activity. My youngest daughter really enjoys playing cards with my husband or I, and War is one of her favorite games. Use a standard 52-card pack. Hot Apple Cider

Perfect for a nippy autumn day! 🙂 Hot Apple Cider: 8 cups apple cider 1/4 cup brown sugar 2 cinnamon sticks 1 teaspoon whole cloves some orange rind Mix apple cider and brown sugar together in a pot. Stir until the sugar dissolves. Put cinnamon sticks, cloves, and orange rind in a spice bag (or wrap in cheese cloth and tie with string). Put the bag in the pot. Simmer on low heat for 15 minutes.
