Autumn Poems For Kids

Leaves

All join hands and circle round
While we watch the leaves fall down
See them twirling to the ground,
See them dancing all around.
See them skipping here and there,
See them flipping in the air.
Autumn leaves so peacefully
Falling, falling from the tree.

Pumpkins

One day I found two pumpkin seeds.
I planted one and pulled the weeds.
It sprouted roots and a big, long vine.
A pumpkin grew; I called it mine.
The pumpkin was quite round and fat.
(I really am quite proud of that.)
But there is something I’ll admit
That has me worried just a bit.
I ate the other seed, you see.
Now will it grow inside of me?
(I’m so relieved since I have found
That pumpkins only grow in the ground!)

Hello, you’ve got some really great ideas on here, from these poems, crafts and recipes! Lots of wonderful content here and you’ve given me some ideas as well 🙂 Perhaps I will share this poem with my little niece and her friends this Halloween. Thanks again!
